Friday Night Musical Service with Batya Levine
Friday, February 17, 2023 • 26 Shevat 5783
6:00 PM - 7:00 PMTemin Canteen Room w/ StreamSpotJoin us for a soulful and songful traditional full liturgy Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv. Just as Jews have been doing for generations, we will gather in close community to welcome the Shabbat beloved with our voices and hearts, as we weave liturgy, nusach, and melodies new and old together in prayerful song.
Batya Levine (they/them) uses song as a tool for cultivating healing and resilience in their work as a communal song leader, shaliach tzibur (Jewish prayer leader) and cultural organizer. Batya is a co-founder and Director of Programs at Let My People Sing!, and they compose original music made of Ashkenazi yearning, queer heart-medicine, and emunah (faith). www.batyalevine.com
Please note that the service leader requests that everybody masks during this service.
