Rosh ha-Shanah JAM 5785

Welcome! We are so glad you are joining us for our Rosh ha-Shanah JAM program for families and children! Long before there were words like “ecology” and “environment,” the ancient rabbis wondered about the first beings and how they learned to live in harmony with the diverse range of creatures that inhabit the earth.

On erev Rosh ha-Shanah, GJC invites you to enter a lush dreamscape where life-size puppets tell the story of how the tradition of eating apples and honey on this holiday first began. How did Adam and Eve discover that honey was good? And how did they meet that fuzzy bee? This original story is written and narrated by Rabbi Adam Zeff and stars Raji Malik on the guitar and Student Rabbi Maria Pulzetti, along with GJC teens as Adam, Eve, and the honey bee.

RSVP so we know you are coming! This program is geared towards children aged 0-6 and their older siblings and grown-ups, and enjoyed by those of any age. Don’t forget to register for the kid-friendly Rosh ha-Shanah Community Dinner that immediately follows the program! CLICK HERE for full details on the dinner!
