Poetry of Faith & Doubt
Poetry of Faith & Doubt
Wednesdays: Nov. 18, Dec. 2, & Dec. 16
7:00 - 8:30 PM in the Quitman Library
Sublime, elegant poetry can soften the heart and spirit by making the invisible, visible through the poet's unwavering lens. A poet forces the reader to pause, assess and observe the ordinary in extraordinary ways. Together we will explore the poetry of Yehoshua November and those who influenced him including Yehuda Amichai and Polish poet Adam Zagajewski. Rabbi Carmel offers this poem by Zagajewski for the brokenness we are bearing witness to in this time.
